Daniel Barlow Aids the Residents of Delaware in Receiving Clean Water

    PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 28, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Barlow, PE, Associate Engineer of United Water Delaware, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

Mr. Barlow has four years of experience as an engineer of United Water Delaware. On a daily basis, he is responsible for solving technological problems to make water safer and more reliable. Mr. Barlow also specializes in project management and water treatment system design. In addition to his responsibilities at United Water Delaware, Mr. Barlow also works as a part time instructor at Delaware Technical Community College teaching water operators.

Looking back, Mr. Barlow attributes his success to an optimistic work ethic, not shying away from new opportunities, and recognizing that his success was dependent on collaborating with others experienced in the industry. He became involved in his profession because he was drawn to the water industry by the fulfillment of serving the community through providing clean water and the challenges and complexities of the water industry. The highlight of his career so far was finding and implementing a system to save wasted water by over 1% and cut unnecessary expenditures by thousands of dollars per year.

Mr. Barlow received a master's degree in environmental engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Messiah College. He is presently pursuing an MBA from Temple University. In addition to his degrees, he is a licensed water operator and a licensed professional engineer. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the American Water Works Association.
