BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, March 26, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kay F. Danes, International Affairs Professional, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Humanitarian Services. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction.
These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.
Kay Danes strives to aid children and families living in Afghanistan and impoverished regions. She was greatly inspired by others who worked in the humanitarian field, and by staying motivated and globally connected, she was able to accomplish her professional goals to significantly impact the lives of people living in abject poverty. In fact, Ms. Danes feels that her passion to achieve real life results has been the greatest contributor to her success.
She aids The Childlight Foundation and other non-profit groups with marketing, public relations and media-related work. She handles project management responsibilities and helps to continually identify new resources to support aid programs, particularly to aid development of education, health and social justice. Ms. Danes has worked with The Childlight Foundation for Afghan Children for the last five years as the Australian Liaison,, and she is aided in her work by a strong educational background and 15 years of experience in the field. She holds an associate diploma in business administration and business development.
In 2012, Ms. Danes was one of four finalists for the Australian of the Year (State) award. This year, she was again nominated for the same honor. She has already been named one of Australia's Most Influential Women.
