SCOTTSDALE, AZ, June 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With over 50 years of professional experience, Ms. Klein-Kleppe is an accomplished artist who specializes in watercolor painting and wildlife photography. Beginning her career as a K-12 art teacher in Missouri and Kansas, she later found success as a freelance graphic designer, an advertising director, and professional art instructor. Since 1983, she has excelled as a professional watercolorist, whose art has been featured in exhibitions and galleries across the country. Ms. Klein-Kleppe holds a patent for "Lense On," which is a camera platform pad designed to be mounted on a tripod or monopod to stabilize a camera for sharp photos. She has endowed the "Visiting Artist Program" for the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri since 1993, which allows the university to bring on campus, visiting artists' presentations, Finding success with her writing as well, Ms. Klein-Kleppe articles, "The Watercolorist's Toolkit," has been published in the "Artist's Magazine" in 1993, and in "Watercolor Magic" in 1995.
Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Klein-Kleppe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in art and biology education at the University of Central Missouri in 1967. After spending a number of years developing her skills in the education field, she returned to her studies of postgraduate coursework at the Arizona State University in 1988. In order to remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Klein-Kleppe maintains memberships with many organizations such as Southwestern Watercolor Society, Arizona Artists Guild, Illinois Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of Alabama, Rhode Island Watercolor Society, and Mid-Southern Watercolorists.
Frequently honored for her artworks, Ms. Klein Kleppe has accepted numerous awards from many juried exhibitions. Honored with "Best of Show" honors from Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Kentucky Watercolor Society, and Arizona Watercolor Society Exhibitions. She received "The John Elliott Award" from The National Arts Club Open Exhibition, "The Thomas Moran Memorial Top Award for Watercolor'" from the Salmagundi Art Exhibition. She has top awards from the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, The Western Colorado Watercolor Society National Exhibitions, National Watercolor Society Member and Signature Show, The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition, and The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society International Exhibition. She was presented with the "Landscape Award" from the South West Artist, Inc., "Art of the Heartland Exhibition."
Her photograph was awarded with "The Top 250 Best International Photos" from the North American Nature Photography Showcase.
