In 2022, he held the position of fractional chief technology officer at Alphind Software Solutions, now known as Alphind Healthcare, where he oversaw critical software development initiatives that supported the organization's transition into healthcare technology.
From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Krishnan led software engineering efforts at Legal & General America as head of software engineering. His leadership was instrumental in modernizing core systems and enhancing operational efficiency. Previously, he served as assistant vice president of application development at Banner Life, now Legal & General America, from 2004 to 2018. In this capacity, he managed large-scale technology projects that improved underwriting processes and customer service delivery.
Dr. Krishnan's earlier career includes a significant tenure at Citigroup Inc. from 1997 to 2004 as vice president and senior lead analyst. He is recognized for revolutionizing the credit card industry by building a platform that enabled instant approval for credit cards at major retailers, such as Home Depot and Sears, in the late 1990s. This innovation eliminated lengthy waiting periods for applicants and set a new standard for customer experience in financial services.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Krishnan has been an active member of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, reflecting his commitment to community engagement and industry collaboration.
Dr. Krishnan's academic background has been foundational to his success. He earned a Doctor of Management in organizational change from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2018, where his dissertation on developing a framework for successful change models was later published and recognized as one of the top 25 dissertations worldwide. He completed a Master of Business Administration in management from Hood College in Frederick in 2002 and received a Bachelor of Technology in applied electronics and instrumentation from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, in Kerala in 1995.
