As the owner of Innovative Therapy, LLC, she excels in the design and implementation of individualized programs of sensory integration, aquatic programs, behavioral programs and hippotherapy - a treatment wherein a therapist uses a horse's movement to provide carefully graded sensory input for each client. After being seriously injured in a major automobile accident, A.J. became involved in an intensive course of therapy. During the rehabilitation process, she discovered a renewed appreciation for life and became inspired to help others, which led to the establishment of Innovative Therapy. Having the ability to help patients make a difference in their lives is the most fulfilling aspect of AJ's career. She firmly believes that it is not awards or praise that set one's career apart or ahead of another. She measures her own success by the personal improvement of her clients. In recognition of her accomplishments, Ms. Jaques was honored with the Outstanding Agency of the Year Award by Idaho Parents Unlimited, Inc., and was named outstanding VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who in 2007 and 2008. She holds a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Colorado State University and an associate degree in equine science. She is certified in The Mandt System and is affiliated with the Idaho Occupational Therapy Association (IOTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA), the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Looking to the future, Ms. Jaques intends to travel and provide consulting, education, and training for families and children with disabilities and/or behavioral issues.
