Dennis J. Campbell Named Professional of the Year by Exclusive Membership Organization for Excellence in Information Technology

BINGEN, WA, July 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dennis J. Campbell, Retired Headquarters Manager with American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T), has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Information Technology. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.

At an early age, Dennis Campbell's entrepreneurial spirit was revealed when he established a snow shoveling and grass mowing enterprise along with two friends. After three successful years, he took an early-shift job at a local hospital to ensure that he would still have time to socialize with friends after school. His strong work ethic also saw him working after school and on Saturdays in a delicatessen while still playing sports until he entered the U.S Army and served in the Republic of Vietnam in 1967.

In 1968 upon completing his service obligations, Mr. Campbell was hired by American Telephone and Telegraph, where he would spend the next 25 years in no less than 13 management positions. One of his latter positions was as headquarters manager where he excelled in business systems analysis and was responsible for information system oversight, production management, design functions, mechanical processing, project management, and engineering. While at AT&T, his innovative thinking abilities gave rise to many new products and his unique approach helped solve various business problems, much to the benefit of the company and its clients. These benefits provided direct cost savings as well as multi-millions in cost avoidance savings in yearly net revue to some AT&T clients and the company as the provider of the services. Mr. Campbell also found time in his professional life to often work multiple jobs in security, private investigation and as a paid athletic coach for many of the wealthiest families in New York City. During this period, he won Coach of the Year Honors for football and several championships in various sports with the Cavaliers Youth Club of Manhattan in the Metropolitan League.

Mr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Science in Metropolitan Studies and Computer Science from New York University in 1974. He is an eight-time recipient of the Management Bonus Award and a three-time recipient of the Sales Executive of the Month Award.
