SCOTTSDALE, AZ, August 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marilou M. Peavley, Owner of Marilou Peavley Photography, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of photography

Talented in landscape and natural scene photography, Marilou M. Peavley entered into her own business over 16 years ago with Marilou Peavley Photography. Since then, Ms. Peavley's work has been featured in several publications, including the Arizona Veterans of Foreign Wars State Newsletter, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3513 Newsletter, and United Blood Services Monthly Newsletter in Scottsdale. She also shot the cover photo for the Luminaria Program of Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden in 1999. The highlight of her career, however, was photographing the return of over 700 members of the Arizona Army National Guard from Afghanistan. She recalls, "The anticipation and excited looks on their families' faces after waiting for two hours to see their loved ones was extremely moving."

For her work, Ms. Peavley has received numerous accolades including the Commander's Cooperation Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, the Photo of the Month Award from Colormark Custom Photo Imaging, the VFW Auxiliary President of the Year, the VFW Distinguished President Membership Award, the United States Army Freedom Team Salute Appreciation Award, and the Arizona Army National Guard 253 Engineer Battalion Adopt-A-Unit Program Award. She attributes her success to her patience, integrity and honesty.

Ms. Peavley holds an associate of arts from Scottsdale Community College, earned in 1989. She is a member of the Arizona Professional Photographers Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, The Red Hat Society and Friends of Arizona Highways.
