SPARKS, NV, October 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --James A. Ferguson, Distribution Center Manager for Wyeth, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in distribution management.

With 33 years of professional experience, Mr. Ferguson is recognized as an expert in logistics, bar coding technology, and automation. In 2005, he joined Wyeth, where he is in charge of supervising the distribution of pharmaceuticals for the western region of the United States. His responsibilities include dealing with regulatory issues, representing the company to local, state and federal government agencies, obtaining licenses to ship to all 50 states and U.S. territories, managing business continuity for his facility, overseeing occupational safety and health, and assisting the human resources division.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Ferguson worked for Aventis (now Sonofi Aventis) for 26 years. He also lent his talents to Johnson & Johnson, where he served as the U.S. distribution manager for seven sites, and to Hershey Foods, where he managed two eastern distribution centers. Mr. Ferguson is proud to be associated with Wyeth, a company with a proven history of pioneering developments in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. He attributes his success to his love for the work and his ability to combine distribution and transportation with the opportunity to improve the process through technology and automation.

Mr. Ferguson completed coursework in business administration and engineering. Wyeth honored his site with three Global Best Practice Awards in 2008. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking and building and repairing clocks. He volunteers regularly with Holy Cross Catholic Community Church, Wyeth Cares, local food banks, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Walk MS. Mr. Ferguson hopes to take on a management role in a larger facility when Wyeth completes its merger with Pfizer.
