CAGUAS, PR, October 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Teresita Neris de la Salas, President and Founder of Federal Affairs Management Group, Corp., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in consulting.
Considered an authority on public administration, Dr. Neris de la Salas lends her talents to Federal Affairs Management Group, a consulting firm. She works in governmental high level positions and in private sector groups with regards to nonprofits, and provides conferences, consulting, training and other resources on Federal programs and administrative structure. A high-profile professional in her native Puerto Rico, Dr. Neris de la Salas promoted family structure as a TV presenter, worked as a newspaper columnist, and hosted her own radio show. She considers giving back, and teaching others how to do the same, to be the most rewarding aspect of her career. Some of her honors are the Leadership and Academic Award by the university in Puerto Rico and recognition she gained as one of the Most Successful Women during women's month in the legislative of Puerto Rico. Due to her excellently-established administrative structure of her firm she was invited in 2002 by the office of former President Bush to present her administrative structure for Faith Base Community creation on behalf of the women Head of Household. Different community leaders from different sectors recognized her professional service with 28 years of professional experience. She is a former director of the Department of Human Services (District 7) of the City of Chicago, and a member of the board of directors of the Roosevelt University of Chicago, West Town Branch. She is also the first woman who directed the first bi-lingual University of the mid-west of the United States. She is the founder of the Hispanic Organization of University Mothers, and a recognized leader in the nonprofit sector. She attributes her success to her faith in God, and earnest desire to help.
With four little children named Rinerma, Teresita, Jose and Marisol, Dr. Neris de la Salas started her University studies in Puerto Rico in 1972. In 1978 she moved to Chicago and later continued her professional studies. She has been married for 28 years to her husband Antonio de la Salas, and established her professional firm in 2001.
Dr. Neris de las Salas received her Ph.D in 2009. Additionally, she earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a major in Psychology from Chicago University. Dr. Neris de las Salas is also the founder and president of AMAR Foundation preparing leaders and children in Puerto Rico, USA, Central and South America.
