Katherine Prizeman Looks Forward to Graduating from NYU this Spring with an MS in Global Affairs

MINEOLA, NY, March 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Katherine Prizeman, Student at New York University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in international relations studies.

Prompted by a fascination with international business and relations, Katherine Prizeman decided to embark on further studies at NYU. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Global Affairs at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, attending classes full-time as she writes her thesis entitled, "U.S. Diplomacy in a Changing International System." Also actively involved outside of the classroom, Ms. Prizeman works part-time as an intern for the Global Security Institute. She previously lent her talents to Freedom House, an advocate for democracy, political freedom and civil liberties, and the Council for American Studies in International Negotiations, where she served as assistant editor of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights Law.

Defined by a decidedly outward point of view, Ms. Prizeman completed a summer internship at Doctors Without Borders and taught beginner English through Pursue Your Dream Foundation. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, she has studied in Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Ecuador, Israel, Jordan and Northern Africa and is presently taking courses in Arabic. An exemplary student, Ms. Prizeman is in the NYU Dean's Circle. Additionally, she was a National Fulbright Fellowship finalist in 2008 in Montevideo, Uruguay and was honored with induction into Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She attributes the success that she has enjoyed in multiple endeavors to planning ahead and making every moment as productive as possible.

Ms. Prizeman earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Philosophy in 2008 from the University of Scranton. She is a member of the Alumni Association of the University of Scranton, and a number of organizations affiliated with the United Nations, such as Young Professionals for International Cooperation, Young Professionals in Foreign Policy and the Latin American Affairs Committee. Ms. Prizeman looks forward to completing her MS this spring and aspires to secure a fellowship opportunity to work in the government sector.
