With many years of experience, and seven years as the Director of Information Systems for The Chronicle of Higher Education, Ms. Kennedy specializes in operations infrastructure, agile and scrum methodology, project management and printing operations. She is responsible for directing a team of 10 information technology professionals to support all network infrastructures, leading an information technology risk assessment and mitigation team, and managing all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards for all credit-card processing. She also manages a helpdesk team and oversees all print processes and paper purchasing operations. She attributes her success to her drive, love for what she does, and being highly organized and focused. She became involved in her current profession because she had previously worked in the printing industry and managed publishing systems. When she joined The Chronicle of Higher Education in 1985, she performed system installations and then progressed into various areas of interest.

Ms. Kennedy is a certified Scrum Master. She is a member of the Scrum Alliance and Salesforce.com, Inc. In years to come, she hopes to obtain more formal training in cloud computing and security.
