strong> /24-7PressRelease/ - CATONSVILLE, MD, September 19, 2007 - Dr. Pamela Ann Rice, a probation officer for the U.S. Federal Probation Department, a psychotherapist in private practice and an adjunct instructor for Coppin State University, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of mental healthcare.

Rice has 30 years of experience in counseling, criminal justice and juvenile services and a strong academic background in counseling and student development. Her private practice, The Rice Counseling Service, provides counseling for women, couples, and children as well as individual adult and group therapy sessions. As a probation officer for the U.S. Federal Probation Department, Rice independently manages an assigned caseload of adult offenders placed on probation or supervised release. She serves as a direct liaison between offenders, courts, the U.S. government and other social services providers. Since 1988, Rice has been an adjunct professor at Coppin State University. She also taught at Essex Community College, Anne Arundel Community College and Prince George's Community College.

Rice received her doctorate in counseling and development with a minor in correctional justice from American University in 1988. She is a member of the American Association for Play Therapy, the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
