/24-7PressRelease/ - UNIONDALE, NY, January 02, 2008 - Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs recognizes Rochelle LeBlanc, Management Analyst for the City of Los Angeles Department of Aging, for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of administration and management of aging services.
"We are all aging!" states LeBlanc, whose lead on area plan development for the City of Los Angeles Department of Aging has catalyzed better quality of life for older adults and their families. While LeBlanc initially worked with retirees managing their portfolios, she saw a great need for advocacy and education on aging in our society. In the eight years she has served in this position, LeBlanc has written proposals, transmittals, reports and press releases; she has developed grant funded programs; she has even produced over 80 segments of "Aging in LA," a 28-minute television show discussing senior and caregiver issues airing three times weekly on cable and network television.
Her work not only affects the quality of life of older adults on a large scale - it influences public policy as well. "The fastest growing segment of our population is aged 85 and over, quickly followed by the Baby Boomers," she details. "The Baby Boomers control most of our nation's wealth and influence." Ultimately, it is her goal to ensure that older generations are represented accurately. She accomplishes this by performing needs assessments, hosting public hearings, conducting area plan activities, grant development and analysis, to name a few. The City of Los Angeles Department of Aging PSA 25, is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the country, setting the pace for program and policy development for the elderly and caregivers nationwide.
LeBlanc holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. She is a board member of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Cal State University-Dominquez Hills and of the Retirement Housing Foundation. An expert on inter-agency coordination within municipal government and planning older American senior and caregiver programs, LeBlanc is available to speak with the media.
