Dr. Bernard O'Meara Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Human Resources & Education

    MOUNT CLEAR, AUSTRALIA, August 09, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Bernard O'Meara has been included in Marquis Who's Who since 2009. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in one or more fields are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. O'Meara has enjoyed a long and notable career in the fields of education and human resources. He embarked upon his chosen profession by attending La Trobe University, Melbourne, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts in humanities in 1976. He then went on to earn an MBA from RMIT in 1989 and a Ph.D. in business from Deakin University. Dr. O'Meara also completed a graduate diploma in education and training adults through the University of South Australia, as well as a diploma in publishing in 2010.

A former certified chartered member of the Australian Human Resource Institute since 1989, Dr. O'Meara assumed his first professional post as a personnel manager with Containers Packaging. He went on to become a principal consultant for the CBO Consulting Group and a senior lecturer for Ballarat University (now the Federation University Australia). A member of the Curriculum Committee Wales Academy, Dr. O'Meara now serves as an academic and general publisher. Over the course of his career, he has contributed several articles to professional journals and he is the author of "The Handbook of Strategic Recruitment and Selection: A System's Approach," "Recruitment and Selection of Vice-Chancellors for Australian Universities," and "Education & Training for Emergency Services," the last written in 2009. Dr. O'Meara was the recipient of the Da Vinci Diamond Award, and he is a Life Fellow of the International Biographical Association (Cambridge England) and Deputy Director-General of the International Biographical Association (Oceania).

Dr. O'Meara has served as an industry advisor for the government and private sectors and for the tertiary education commission of the Australian Federal Government. He has been a member of the community advisory committee of the Ballarat Health Service and chairman of the course advisory committee of Carrick Higher Education. Dr. O'Meara has also been extensively involved with Victoria Police Voice and Emergency Services and his work across these and a wide range of other areas continues.

In recognition of his professional efforts, Dr. O'Meara has been featured in the 27th through the 33rd editions of Who's Who in the World. He has also been listed in 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century since 2013.
