Green without Sacrificing Beauty and Creativity

Works of Art to Brighten Your World.

WASHINGTON, DC, October 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The demands of the environmentally conscious consumers have driven more and more business' to take a green approach to how they do business.

However, artist and craftsmen have long since been active participants in the "Green Movement." From dumpster diving to using found objects from second hand stores, these are the hallmarks of some artist. Whether such techniques are used for economics reasons or because of the artists' godly nature to make something beautiful from what others have used and rejected, the results are amazingly innovative.

Tuesday Winslow, a papier-mache artist, is a proud participate of this recycling heritage. After her service to United States Marine (1989 - 1995), Tuesday decided to become an artist and first developed her own unique technique of turning trash to treasure. In 1995, she was cash poor but creatively rich, papier-mache was the perfect medium.

The papier-mache is made of 100% discarded newspaper and a water based glue. The work is creatively decoupage with new and recycled material. The recycled design elements include but not limited to: stamps from the around the world, International bank notes and "Yellow Pages, the telephone directory (while they last.) The papier-mache is even used to securely attach the mirror, hanging hook and artist statement to the frame, no wood backing is used.

"For me, the papier-mache is a 3d canvas. It exists for me to explore its possibilities for beauty and utilitarianism. The most thrilling thing about being a papier-mache artist is I'm sure I have just scratched the surface."

She often hears of her work "I have never seen anything like this before."
