Rosanne Kramnicz Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Achievements in Writing

Rosanne Kramnicz continues to thrive as she pursues her passion for writing



    NORDLAND, WA, October 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rosanne Kramnicz has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Armed with a passion for writing, as well as bachelor's degrees in arts and sciences from Reed College, Ms. Kramnicz has thrived in her professional endeavors. She got her start as a news columnist for the Western Itasca Review, and then worked as a news feature writer for the Virginia Pilot. From 1980 to 1981, Ms. Kramnicz served as a film script researcher for Warner Bros and a travel agent in Hawaii, and in 1985, she secured a position as a feature writer for Bangor Daily News. She proceeded to join Peninsula Daily News as a columnist and feature writer in 1990, and in 1992, she took on her current position as a freelance writer in Nordland, Wash.

In addition to her writing career, Ms. Kramnicz's impressive background inspired in her the desire to share her knowledge with others. She spent a year each as a writing teacher at Maine Women in the Arts, Oahu Arts, and Bangor, and contributed articles and stories to journals, periodicals and other publications over the years. Notably, Ms. Kramnicz co-authored "Stylus," a poetry collection, in 1984, and wrote poetry for "Dreams," in 1981. When she isn't pursuing writing, she serves as a clog dance instructor, a massage therapist, and a shaman healing therapist and speaker.

As a testament to her success and longevity, Ms. Kramnicz was selected for inclusion in nine editions of Who's Who in America, three volumes each of Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women, and one publication of Who's Who in the West. She was also the recipient of the Merit Award from the Famous Poets Society in 1995, was named Select Poetry Reader and Writer by the Minnesota Arts Council in 1997, and was selected as a finalist for the Best of Photography Annual Award from 1986 to 1987. Also of note, Ms. Kramnicz was honored as the U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Queen at Parris Island, North Carolina in 1965.
