The Memory of William St. George Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Art

In his lifetime, Mr. St. George made a national impact through his oil paintings and solo art exhibitions



He was the producer and host of "Impressions," a weekly art show on Cablevision, and he served as a guest demonstrator of oil painting for various New England art groups.

    WALPOLE, MA, November 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William St. George has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Fondly remembered as a painter, artist, instructor and all-around passionate and creative professional, Mr. St. George established his gallery in Boston, Mass., following an impressive career in the field of fine art. Notably, he was the producer and host of "Impressions," a weekly art show on Cablevision, and he served as a guest demonstrator of oil painting for various New England art groups. He was an instructor at Blackburn Hall in Walpole, as well as at Steinert Hall, and the St. George Gallery. In recognition of professional excellence, Mr. St. George was named Artist of the Year by the Santa Monica Charity Horse Show and Featured Artist for PAK 2000. Additionally, he was a two-time collection best-in-show for WGBH Boston's Channel Two auction. Finally, in recognition of his efforts, Mr. St. George was selected for inclusion into Who's Who in American Art.

Mr. St. George's highly regarded works of art include solo exhibitions at the J. Todd Galleries, in Lexington, Mass., the Lime Rock Galleries in Lakeville, Conn., the EL Wilde Gallery in Avon, Conn., the Michael Thompson Galleries in San Francisco, Calif., the Open Studios in Boston, Mass., and the S Rotunda Art Gallery in Boston, Mass. He also presented his work through the Boston Painters at the Judi Rotenberg Gallery in Boston, Mass., and through the Copley Society's fall exhibition. Further, Mr. St. George's work was on display in the Kennedy Galleries, which are located in both Provincetown, Mass. and Key West, Fla.

Prior to his passing, Mr. St. George noted that the highlight of his career was making his mark on the artistic world from a national perspective. His artwork continues to live on through his legacy. Today, his wife continues to run the St. George Gallery in Boston, Mass., as a tribute to a beautiful life dedicated to the arts.
