Ralph Volpe Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Volpe was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World



    AUDUBON, PA, November 23, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ralph P. Volpe has been included in Marquis Who's Who for more than 25 years. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Now retired, Mr. Volpe celebrates a career in the field of insurance that dates back to 1964. Considered an expert in the field, he came to prominence as a claim consultant for Aetna Life & Casualty in King of Prussia, Pa. He held his role for 33 years before joining the team at Hartford Insurance, where he acted as a litigation consultant for five years. Prior to establishing his career, Mr. Volpe served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. Thereafter, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Pennsylvania State University. In recognition of excellence, he earned a Good Government Award from the Upper Merion Jaycees in 1977 and an Excellence in Government Service Award from the King of Prussia Chamber of Commerce in 1997. He was selected as the recipient of the 17th Annual President's Award from the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors in 2006. Mr. Volpe was also selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.

As far as Mr. Volpe is concerned, there is no greater importance than giving back to one's community. A prominent figure in his own town, he has worked in various capacities for local government throughout his career. For Upper Merion Township, he was a member of the Board of Supervisors for 24 years. He served as Chairman of the Board 8 times, the longest in modern history; as well as Vice Chairman twice. During his time in office he helped create several innovative concepts for transportation, sewage and fire fighting. In 2005, they enacted a $72,500 Municipal Homestead Exemption, the largest Municipal Homestead Exemption in the Commonwealth. He retired from the Board at the end of 2005.

For the Montgomery County Association of Township Officials, he served as President; subsequently as well as Secretary until 2011. He was also an executive board member of the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association and received their Public Sector Award in 2005. Mr. Volpe also helped create the Southeastern Association of Township Officials.
