Charles Prochaska Honored for Excellence in Aerospace Engineering

Charles Prochaska holds three patents after more than 35 years with The Boeing Company



Mr. Prochaska now serves as a Docent for the Ebeys Landing National Historic Reserve (of the U.S. National Park Service). He specializes in providing information about the Jacob Ebey House (~1850).

    GREENBANK, WA, January 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles Prochaska has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Prochaska's career as an aerospace engineer included a number of achievements, including patents for a locking mechanism, an aircraft passenger cleansing system and an integrated passenger seating system. He began working in his profession in 1965 after earning a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan. Following graduation, he accepted a role as a specialist engineer in Renton, Wash. before becoming a senior specialist engineer for 767 division of the Boeing Company in 1979. Mr. Prochaska remained with the company for more than 35 years, working in various divisions and progressive positions. His titles within Boeing included principal engineer for Boeing Aerospace & Electronics, manager of the 777 division, Boeing Cargo Furnishings, and manager of payloads for Boeing Emergency Equipment, among others.

After his departure from Boeing in 2002, Mr. Prochaska became the president of Whidstar Construction in Greenbank, Wash. until 2006. Mr. Prochaska has also served as president of Sound ICF Products, formerly known as Polysteel Island County, since 2006. His additional roles include president of CAMR Ltd. and sales representative for Engrav Systems.

In 2000, Mr. Prochaska became Assistant Steward for Island County Grange. After 10 years, he became Steward of the organization, a role in which he served until 2014. Mr. Prochaska is currently serving as President. Mr. Prochaska is Master of Deer Lagoon Grange. Today, he is a Deputy Master of Washington State Grange, a member of the Whidbey Island Area Fair Association, and a Trustee of the Holmes Harbor Activity Club. A longtime Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Prochaska received a District Award of Merit in 1985 for his work with the organization.

In light of his many achievements, Mr. Prochaska was chosen to be featured in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. He also appeared in the 33rd edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
