/24-7PressRelease/ - Washington, DC, March 12, 2008, Julia L. Bertrand, doctoral candidate at Georgetown University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for excellence, dedication, and leadership in all aspects of higher education.

In her doctoral studies at Georgetown University, Ms. Bertrand focuses on international relations and security studies. She has experience working as a political analyst in Singapore and has honed her expertise in Southeast Asian affairs and United States policy on Southeast Asia. Ms. Bertrand serves as a liaison officer for the Georgetown Alumni Club in Singapore and has studied in America on a Fulbright fellowship.

After finishing her Ph.D. studies here in the U.S., Ms. Bertrand hopes to go back to Singapore to continue working in Singapore civil service and perhaps work as an adjunct professor at a university. She has a master of arts in security studies from Georgetown University. Additionally, Ms. Bertrand is a member of Women in International Security (WIIS).
