Backed by more than two decades of experience and a deep passion for sociology, Dr. Hardt has thrived at Montana State University Billings. He has served as an associate professor at the school since 1995, and thus has had the opportunity to teach a wide array of sociology-related courses, including "Dating and Mate Selection," and "Diseases and Societies." Dr. Hardt's role has also allowed him the chance to research the topics that interest him. He recently published his findings in his book, "History of Infectious Disease Pandemics in Urban Societies," which was released in 2016.
Dr. Hardt's interest in sociology began in high school, when he was first exposed to the subject. He proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science from Mankato State University, which is now the University of Minnesota, Mankato, in 1978 and a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 1989. He also joined and maintains affiliation with the Eastern Sociological Association.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Hardt was featured in the 12th edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering and the 66th edition of Who's Who in America. He was also named Outstanding Faculty of the Year by Montana State University Billings.
