Backed by nearly 30 years' practiced experience in the sciences, Dr. Worms is currently the chief executive of the European Science Foundation, which focuses on providing expert research support services for both public and private clients. Upon his commencement from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Dr. Worms assumed the role of assistant professor at Pierre and Marie Curie and Versailles University. Subsequently, he held various research and executive roles for such institutions as the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Physique de Strasbourg, and Service d'Aeronomie du CNRS. Over the years, his vocational tasks have ranged from research management and strategic planning to coordinating policies and strategies at the national and international levels.
An alumnus of Pierre and Marie Curie University, Dr. Worms holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in physics, as well as a Ph.D. Throughout his career, he has contributed to scholarly works, such as Icarus and Advances in Space Research and the International Journal of Nanotechnologies. He also lent his knowledge to the Group International Space Exploration Coordination Group, for which he has served as co-chair of its Science Advisory Group, and is a member of the European Commission Space Advisory Group.
In order to remain abreast of changes in his field, Dr. Worms affiliates himself with the Committee for Space Research. Notably, he has been recognized many times for his efforts. Since the mid-2000s, he has been featured in four editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and nine editions of Who's Who in the World.
