Dr. Robert P. Workman Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Experience in Art

Dr. Workman authored the novels, "Angels of Doom" and "Easter Island and Egypt"



    CHICAGO, IL, April 03, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert P. Workman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Inspired by his passions, Dr. Workman has spent the past three decades acquainting himself with the art world, earning a strong reputation for his dedication and excellence. He started his journey as a freelance artist in Chicago, and worked his way up to become an instructor at St. Xavier College, a cartoonist for Bridge View News and Village View Publications, and a creator of acrylic sculpture for ArtStyle. Dr. Workman's success propelled him to join Media-In-Action as a television art director, Oxford University as a lecturer, and the National Museum of Natural History as a professor. He is currently using the knowledge he has garnered in his role as an artist for the Villager Newspaper, where he has worked since 1991.

Over the years, Dr. Workman has amassed an impressive repertoire of publications. Notably, he authored the cartoon strip, "Cypher," as well as the novels "Angels of Doom" and "Easter Island and Egypt." He has also contributed to books on photography, including "Wondrous Worlds," "Hidden Silhouettes," "Meadows of Memories," and "Eternal Moments," and to the collections of more than 120 museums, libraries and private collections around the world.

One of the highlights of Dr. Workman's career was becoming the first American artist accepted into the Musee du Louvre for the 21st century. He was also proud to be featured in Artist's Magazine in 1990 and on the station WBBM-TV, as well as to have earned the title of Poet of the Year in 2015. Dr. Workman has been recognized for his professional achievements in seven volumes of Who's Who in the World and 11 volumes of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

An alumnus of various institutions, including Ecole du Louvre, Roosevelt University and the Art Institute of Chicago, Dr. Workman holds a Bachelor of Arts in French, a Master of Arts, a Doctorate in Hieroglyphics, a Ph.D., and a Doctor of Science. He is also a certified professor through the Museum National d-Histoire Naturelle, and is affiliated with the American Watercolor Society, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Ridge Art Association, and the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association.
