Ms. Kang has owned By Brazil Restaurant for three years with Stefano Kang. Her areas of expertise include managing daily operations, training and overseeing staff. Homemade Brazilian cuisine and authentic Brazilian barbeque are served at the restaurant. Ms. Kang attributes her success to her customer service skills and her ability to provide quality food.

In 2004, she received her master of business administration from Hawaii Pacific University. Ms. Kang earned her bachelor of arts in international relations and economics in 1998 from Claremont McKenna College. She completed coursework at Le Cordon Bleu College in culinary arts and was certified in restaurant management by the California School of Culinary Arts. Ms. Kang is a member of the National Federation of Independent Business.
