Prior to entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Virginia. Upon graduating with an LL.B., he became an associate and then partner of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts. He then served as the senior vice president and general counsel of Singer Co., before transitioning to Citation Builders, acting as their chief executive officer for nine years.

A sterling example of skill in his field, Mr. O'Connor is licensed to practice law through the New York and California Bar Associations.
