An esteemed and lauded figure with decades of career experience to her name, Judge Weiner retired in January of 2009 as Justice of the Peace in Precinct 2, Place 1, for Bexar County, Texas, a position she held for 8 years.

Judge Weiner earned her BA degree and lifetime teacher's certificate, summa cum laude, from St. Mary's University, followed by her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas.

Judge Weiner began her legal career in 1971 with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development where she served for over 26 years, retiring as Chief Counsel of the San Antonio Area Office. As Chief Counsel, Judge Weiner was responsible for all legal issues throughout a 57 county jurisdiction and earned the Leigh Curry Award for most outstanding HUD Chief Counsel in the United States in 1994.

In addition to her status as Lifetime Achiever, Judge Weiner has previously received the Outstanding Business Woman of the Year Award, the Federal Women's Program Council Management Award, and Special Achievement Awards from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In 2008, Judge Weiner received the Legion of Honor Award presented by Constable Jimmy Willborn for her 37 years of serving the cause of justice in Bexar County as Justice of the Peace and Chief Counsel for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Judge Weiner was the 2010 Honoree at the International Black and White Ball for outstanding leadership in elevating Federal Women's careers and for her significant contributions to the advancement of equal opportunity. She has been recognized as a Woman Inspiring Change by the Harvard Law School Women's Law Association and the Harvard Law School and International Development Society. Furthermore, Judge Weiner has been a featured listee in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
