In over 40 years of practice with three of America's premier law firms, Mr. Foster experienced only a single trial loss while bringing cases to victorious judgment or verdict in more than a dozen venues. As such, he is one of the most successful alumni of the University of Iowa, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1954 and a Juris Doctor in 1957. In addition, he has lectured at Southern Methodist University on various occasions.
In order to remain active among his colleagues and professional connections, Mr. Foster affiliates himself with the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, where he is a fellow, as well as the American Counsel Association, which he served as president. Mr. Foster also served as a governor of the New York Insurance Exchange. During his spare time, he enjoys giving back to his community through the Cardigan Mountain School. In addition to his lengthy and gratifying career, he has been recognized many times for his accomplishments in the field of law. Since the late-1980s, Mr. Foster has been featured in many volumes of Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in American Law.
