Daniel Robert Simoneau Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Simoneau has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the arts, application development, and the financial industry

KENOSHA, WI, July 10, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Daniel Robert Simoneau a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Mr. Simoneau celebrates many years' experience in his professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Simoneau has led a fascinating dual career as a financial expert turned application developer, and as an accomplished contemporary realism artist. He is very proud of his business achievements without an accounting or business degree, and of becoming a signature member in four major art societies in five years. Mr. Simoneau never gave up on his goals, financing his art career with his day job, and being able to show everything he has done for years has made it all worthwhile.

Born to Robert Eugene and Roland Muriel Simoneau in Lewiston, Maine, Mr. Simoneau was interested in art from a very young age, and initially wanted to study architecture. He was exhibiting art and competing with adults in high school and was the youngest member ever to join his local art association. He was the first person to go to college in his family, and paid for it in 1981 by working at the Fleet/Norstar Bank of Maine. In 1984, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Maine and continued working at the bank. He was promoted to accountant, a role he earned by picking up the skills on the job. Through a chance encounter in 1988, Mr. Simoneau joined Pioneer Plastics Corporation as a financial analyst. In 1991, he moved to Indiana to work for his former manager at Pioneer Plastics and became a senior accountant with the parent group Aeroquip Corporation. Eventually he became a senior accountant at Aeroquip Corporation's parent company, TRINOVA Corporation, in Maumee, OH.

In 1996, Mr. Simoneau left TRINOVA and moved to Chicago, but was unable to continue as an accountant without a relevant degree. He accepted a position as a financial education specialist, and taught software courses for PeopleSoft Corporation. He was promoted to Master Financials Instructor, the highest-ranking financials instructor in the Midwest, by the time he left PeopleSoft in 1998. Mr. Simoneau left PeopleSoft to gain real-world experience with PeopleSoft software by joining The Revere Group as a Functional Specialist. He returned to PeopleSoft as a Master Technical Instructor in 2000. In 2002, he became a PeopleSoft developer at the financial services firm, Robert W. Baird. He soon was promoted to PeopleSoft team lead and assistant vice president. He later was promoted to vice president and, eventually, first vice president. When he left in 2010 to return to The Revere Group/NTT DATA as a senior functional specialist, he held the position of IT Manager for PeopleSoft and Reporting Solutions. In 2012 he moved from the Enterprise Applications group to the Business Transformation group within NTT DATA and was promoted to associate director.

Mr. Simoneau's work in application development serves to fund his art career. His media are acrylic and watercolor painting, both of which were on display at the Kenosha Public Museum in a major solo exhibition of his work alongside the Transparent Watercolor Society of America exhibition for the summer of 2017. His artwork has also recently been shown in exhibitions hosted by the International Guild of Realism, the American Watercolor Society and the International Society of Acrylic Painters. In 2016, Mr. Simoneau was featured as a solo exhibitor at the Anderson Arts Center in Kenosha. He has received the 2017 Pioneer in Realism Award from the International Guild of Realism Winter Salon and received the Best of Show award in the International Society of Acrylic Painters Seventh and Eighth Online Signature Members Exhibitions in 2014 and 2015. He was a finalist for the 2016 Racine Art Museum Artist Fellowship.

Mr. Simoneau is notably active as a signature member with the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and the International Society of Acrylic Painters, where he is currently President and a signature master. He is also an active member of the Copley Society of Art, the Salmagundi Club, the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, the American Artists Professional League, and the Wisconsin Watercolor Society. He contributes to art magazines and has been published in art publications throughout the world, has held the post of treasurer for the Cream City Foundation, the positions of membership chair, vice president, museum search chair and marketing chair for the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, and juried the Anderson Arts Center's annual Winter Juried Exhibition in 2016. For dedication to the pursuit of artistic achievement, Mr. Simoneau was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in American Art since 2005. Mr. Simoneau is also listed in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, two volumes of Who's Who in American Education, two volumes of Who's Who in the Midwest, two volumes of Who's Who in Finance and Business, the 2008 to 2009 volume of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and the 2004 volume of Who's Who in the World.
