Dr. Kang has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the electronics engineering industry

Dr. Kang is a professor in the department of information and communications at the Kyungwoon University in Gumi, South Korea and part of the ongoing efforts to digitalize the world.

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, August 14, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Dr. Sang Wook Kang a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Dr. Kang celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Kang is a professor in the department of information and communications at the Kyungwoon University in Gumi, South Korea and part of the ongoing efforts to digitalize the world. He is one of the professionals in the quickly evolving media landscape of Asia, engineering the electronic technology that allows information, commerce, and sensor data to travel at the speed of lightning. Some of Dr. Kang's proudest achievements include research into medium access control (MAC) algorithms for both wired and wireless automatic teller machines, as well as high speed and ubiquitous sensor networks.

Born in Seoul to Maeng Soo Kang and Bong Hwan Lee, Dr. Kang matriculated at Soongsil University and earned a PhD in 1999. He is married to Kyung Jae Lee, a daughter of Chief of Police Min Jong Lee and Young Ja Yang. One of his children, Jaeshin Kang, earned a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and the other, Sun Young Kang, earned a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY.

Dr. Kang was an alumnus of the department of electronics engineering, having served as a lecturer at Soongsil from 1995 to 1999. Starting in 2000, he transitioned to Kyungwoon University, and from 2004 to 2009, he served as an associate member of the Industrial Cluster at Gumi.

Dr. Kang's work into MAC algorithms has applications in networking, allowing for several different stations to communicate across the same physical medium, such as multiple computers sharing one networking cable. His research into ubiquitous sensor networks combines an intelligent processor with such sensors as cameras, audio pickup, or tactile surfaces. This allows the sensor to react to specific inputs automatically and trigger a reaction, such as turning on the lights when a person enters their home. The technology may someday become a versatile, resilient method of allowing every imaginable object to transmit data over a network, hence the moniker of "ubiquitous." Dr. Kang is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

For serving in the constant progress of technology, Dr. Kang has been selected for inclusion in four volumes of Who's Who in the World from 2010 to 2014, and the 2012 volume of Who's Who in Asia. He has two children, and enjoys classical music as well as travel.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Dr, Kang has been featured on the Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievers website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
