Antonios Mammis Celebrates Over Five Years of Professional Excellence in Neurosurgery

Dr. Mammis received a Founder's Day Award through New York University

    NEWARK, NJ, August 29, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Antonios Mammis has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Backed by more than five years of medical experience, Dr. Mammis works as a member of the faculty at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Additionally, he is affiliated with Hackensack UMC and the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in neurological surgery. His subspecialties include neurological spine surgery, and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.

A graduate of the prestigious New York University and Columbia University, Dr. Mammis holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology, and an MD, and has pursued internships and residencies in various facets of neurosurgery. In order to remain active and engaged in his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgery, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the International Neuromodulation Society.

Throughout his career, he has contributed his plethora of knowledge to a number of creative works, including publications, presentations and articles regarding craniotomies in regards to headache treatment, the use of deep brain stimulation in Tourette's syndrome, the reduction of a displaced hangman's fracture by compression across crossed translaminar screws, and gunshot injuries to the thoracolumbar spine.

An expert in his field, Dr. Mammis has been awarded many times for his work in the field. Over the years, he earned the Ronald Tasker Award, became a fellow through the American College of Surgeons, and received a Founder's Day Award through his undergraduate alma mater. In the coming years, Dr. Mammis intends to continue to hone his expertise in neurosurgery.
