Patricia Davison Mail Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. Mail has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the public health services industry



    TACOMA, WA, September 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Patricia D. Mail a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Patricia Mail celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. After accruing nearly 30 years of professional excellence in her field, Dr. Mail's final retirement was from a faculty position at Medicine Creek Tribal College. Back in 1970, she joined the U.S. Public Health Service as a commissioned officer, where she remained for almost the entirety of her career. Throughout the years, she served numerous Department of Health and Human Services institutions, including the Portland Area Indian Health Service, the National Health Service Corps, the Office of the Surgeon General, and the National Institute for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, with the National Institutes of Health. In addition, Dr. Mail has served in faculty positions for Seattle University, and Oregon Health & Sciences University.

A graduate of the University of Arizona, Smith College, Yale University, and the University of Maryland, Dr. Mail holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, a Master of Arts, a Master of Public Health, and a PhD. In order to remain active and engaged among her professional circles, she affiliates herself with the American School Health Association, the Society of Applied Anthropology, the American Association for the Advancement of Association, the American Public Health Association, the American Association for Health Education, the Medical Anthropology Society and many others.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mail has contributed her vast breadth of knowledge to a number of creative works such as "Tulapai to Tokay," which she wrote with D.R. McDonald in 1980. Additionally, she has edited a number of works, including "American Indian Alcoholism: Multiple Perspectives on a Complex Problem." Notably, she has been recognized many times for her work in the field. In addition to receiving a Meritorious Services Award through the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Dr. Mail has been featured in many volumes of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
