Linda Lee Paralez Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

Dr. Paralez is the current president and chief executive officer of Demarche Consulting Group, a firm that relies on Dr. Paralez's 25 years of business improvement consultancy and her trove of experiences in the public and private sector. She is an expert in building and land use permitting and regulatory management and consults water, wastewater and electrical and gas utilities in best asset management practices. Notably, Dr. Paralez led the optimization of business processes during the merger of five municipal agencies into a billion-dollar City public works organization, just one of the many projects she has led to save citizens millions in municipal funds.

A graduate of Amarillo College and Century University, Dr. Paralez holds an A.S. and B.S. in engineering, as well as an MBA and a Ph.D. in business management and economics. Before she founded Demarche, Dr. Paralez worked with NASA's space operations rocket facility near Brigham City, Utah. After the Challenger space shuttle accident in 1986, Dr. Paralez was one of the professionals charged with improving the booster assembly process and part of the team restoring flight operations with a new booster redesign just 22 months after the accident. She earned municipal experience in the city of Seattle, and as interim deputy director of planning and development services for Snohomish County, Washington, implementing efficient field technology for the county's inspectors. Dr. Paralez went on to serve with numerous advisory boards in the region, notably as a financial analyst for a Ferry Advisory Council for the state of Washington for six years. She was a member of the planning commission in Kitsap County, Washington for eight years, serving a population of 260 thousand people. Notably, Dr. Paralez was part of the Western Regional Water Utilities Benchmarking Group that studied and surveyed municipal water organizations across 13 utilities on the West Coast nd published data for a 9 year period.

Dr. Paralez is a member of the American Association of University Women, the National Association of Female Executives, the American Society of Quality Control, the American Water Works Association, the International Code Council, and the American Productivity and Quality Council. Throughout her prolific career, she has authored a number of creative works, including "God was Here, But He Left Early" and "Gift of Wings." Dr. Paralez has been a force for good as a supporter of Utah's Child Abuse Prevention Center and the Shaken Baby Syndrome Board, where she produced an early report on the condition in the '80s.

A stellar example of versatility and dedication in her vocation, Dr. Paralez has won many awards for her work in the field. In addition to earning a Woman in the Industry Recognition with the International Reprographics Association, Dr. Paralez has been featured in a plethora of publications such as Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in the World.
