    HIROSHIMA, JAPAN, September 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Takeshi Tanaka, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. A professor of electronics and computer engineering at Hiroshima Institute of Technology since 2010, Dr. Tanaka has been in academia his entire career. Dedicated to the field, he obtained a Bachelor and Master of Science in Engineering and a PhD in Engineering at Hiroshima University between 1982 and 1990. Beginning as an assistant professor in the department of electronics at Hiroshima Institute of Technology in April 1987 while still pursuing his doctorate, he spent another four years as a lecturer at the university before being assigned as an associate professor from 1994 to 2010. Once he became a full professor, Dr. Tanaka simultaneously worked as the chief of the department of electronics and computer engineering from 2012 to 2016.

The faculty of engineering at the Hiroshima Institute of Technology was established in 1963, building on the foundations that were put in place two years previously with the establishment of Hiroshima Technical College. Since then, the graduate school of engineering, the faculty of environmental studies, and the graduate school of environmental studies have been established.

Throughout Dr. Tanaka's near 30-year career, he has successfully conducted research on the basic consecutive system which consisted of the design, process, and estimation of a fundamental IC system, the glare in sports lighting using LED, sterilization using plasma based ion implantation, and renewable energy systems, including the hydrogen energy system. He has authored several articles in various journals based on his work as well.

Dr. Tanaka is a visiting professor at Hiroshima University, a member of the The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, The Vacuum Society of Japan, and The Japan Society of Applied Physics, and a member and director of The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan. Highlighted in 25 editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Asia, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, and Who's Who in the World since 1996, Dr. Tanaka is married to Chisako Miyasaki with two sons. He enjoys walking, running, and reading in his down time.
