In order to remain active and engaged in the field, Dr. Wells affiliates herself with the Oncology Nursing Society, where she has maintained a connection since 1998, and the American Academy of Nursing, where she began her affiliation in 2004. A seasoned professional with decades of experience, she has been honored with a number of grants regarding lung cancer pain, symptom assessment for functional wellbeing, pain assessment, and intervention needs.
Over the years, Dr. Wells has contributed her plethora of knowledge to a number of publications, including the Integrative Cancer Therapies quarterly peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Nursing Administration, and Current Pain and Headache Reports. Looking ahead, Dr. Wells intends to hone her expertise and research interests, and maintain an upward trajectory in her field.
