BEECHHURST, NY, September 26, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sari Menna has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After accruing nearly 30 years of varied artistic experience, Ms. Menna retired from her role as an art teacher for the New York City Board of Education. At the start of her career, she volunteered in the same role for the Presidents' Economic Opportunity Center on Long Island, and as a substitute teacher for Massapequa Public Schools. Since her retirement, she has continued exhibiting her work, which reflects themes of the women's movement, all over the world, including with Salute to Women in Nairobi, Paintings and Paperworks through the City University of New York, and the Flat Iron Gallery in New York. Additionally, Ms. Menna is represented in permanent collections at the National Museum of Women in Arts, and Women's Interart Collections. Additionally, she designed and executed a mini-park with two large murals in Manhattan in 1974; and artistically collaborated with Tony Smith, American sculptor, visual artist, architectural designer, and a noted theorist on art who is often cited as a pioneering figure in American minimalist sculpture.

A graduate of the Hunter College of the City University of New York, Ms. Menna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts. Her professional affiliations include the Creative Women's Collective, the Women's Studio Center, and Artists Equity.

Beyond her status as a respected and hard-working figure in her field, she has been awarded many times for her professional endeavors. Since 2004, Ms. Menna has been featured in one edition of Who's Who in the World, nine editions of Who's Who in America, and five editions of Who's Who of American Women.
