SAN ANSELMO, CA, September 27, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Diane Marie Ellenberger a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Ms. Ellenberger celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Entering the field of healthcare as a clinical nurse in 1973 after committing to the Nurse Corps in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 to 1972, Ms. Ellenberger has continuously been engaged in her career in various capacities. She spent time as a head nurse, nurse clinician and clinical nurse specialist in a hospital setting. She has provided primary care to children in private rural pediatric practice with a pediatrician and has initiated perinatal outreach education programs and neonatal transport. She has been an assistant professor at Maryville College (now University), St. Louis, and McKendree College, and later as a nurse consultant for Carr, Korein el al. Attorneys at Law. Since 1997, Ms. Ellenberger has been exclusively focused on her business as a nurse consultant and owner of The Medical Legal Advantage.

Greatly inspired by her grandmother who had always told her that she could be anything she set her mind to, Ms. Ellenberger often read the Cherry Ames series of nursing books and a Golden Book that was written by Johnson & Johnson, called "Nurse Nancy," growing up. Always knowing that she would wind up work in nursing, she is now able to travel throughout the U.S., and she is absolutely loving the ride.

During a brief time in her career, Ms. Ellenberger had taken a two-year sabbatical from nursing to open up a needlepoint business where she taught needlepoint and designed canvases. The opportunity allowed her to run her own business and gain a tremendous amount of experience that she utilizes today as a business owner once again. Completing an RN diploma at Barnes Hospital in 1970, a BSN at Saint Louis University, and a Master of Science in Perinatal Nursing at the University of Colorado, Ms. Ellenberger is a certified legal nurse consultant (LNCC) and certified clinical nurse specialist.

A fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners International and a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and formerly the National Perinatal Association, and the Missouri Perinatal Association, Ms. Ellenberger has served in various capacities, to include board of directors, president, vice president of organizations and chairman of committees. She has contributed to the nursing literature and also contributed a chapter to the second edition of the book, "The Path to Legal Nurse Consulting: The Collective Wisdom of Successful Nurse Consultants," which was published in 2015.

During Ms. Ellenberger's time in the military, she received a Decorated National Defense Service Medal by the U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps. She has also been included in several editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in American Nursing, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who's Who of American Women.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Diane Marie Ellenberger has been featured on the Marquis Who's Who Lifetime Achievers website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
