Arline Roth Brick Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    HARTFORD, CT, October 25, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Arline Roth Brick with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Brick celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. An adjunct instructor of human biology at Capital Community College Ms. Brick has been teaching there since 2003 after retiring from 34 years in high school education. She entered the profession in 1969, initially as a research associate at the University of Hartford, where she earned both of her degrees. The subject led to a long-term position as a biology and psychology teacher at Bulkeley High School in Hartford from 1969 to 2003. She continues to lead her field in both a collegiate setting and in the Hartford education community.

Ms. Brick is a certified teacher in the state of Connecticut, and completed her undergraduate studies in 1969 followed by a Master of Arts in Education in 1972, both at the University of Hartford. Capital Community College is one of 12 community colleges in the state, and as a result of a 1993 merger with the Greater Hartford Community College. Ms. Brick supports the institution as both an educator and a prolific member of the teaching leadership community. Ms. Brick was elected to the West Hartford Board of Education for three terms from 1981 to 1985,1985 to 1989, and from 1991 to 1995. She was chosen as Chairperson of the West Hartford Board of Education from 1986 to 1989 and from 1993 to 1995.

Named Citizen of the Year from 1989 to 1990 by the West Hartford Education Association for her tireless efforts, Ms. Brick has appeared in the pages of both Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women. She has been married to Lawrence Samuel Brick for 43 years, and is the proud mother of Jason, Sheri, and Adam.
