Dr. Yeo is an orthopedic surgeon as well as specialist of the foot and ankle department at the Veterans Health Service Center in his country's capital of Seoul. He is especially proud of receiving the 2016 Roger A. Mann Award from the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Yeo and the department of foot and ankle study are highly motivated to discover new areas of medicine that have not been established. He has served as an army surgeon since2015, and is already known for his work on examining the possibility of removing Bassett's ligament, as well as specialized fibular locking plates for lateral malleolar fractures. Dr. Yeo is particularly interested in further studying the basics behind diabetic foot and sports medicine.
Dr. Yeo's parents are alive and well, and enjoying his respect for putting him into Keimyung University School of Medicine to become a doctor in 2003. He further attended the Korea University Graduate School in Seoul from 2013 to 2014, after serving a residency with the Veterans Health Service Medical Center. From 2012 to 2013, he worked in a fellowship with Korea University Guro Hospital in Seoul, and from 2013 to 2015, Dr. Yeo taught as a clinical assistant professor in Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital in nearby Gyeonggi. He has served in his current role since March of 2015.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Yeo is also an assistant administrator of the member management committee -, and a member of the editorial and planning committee of the Korean Foot and Ankle Society. He is licensed by the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, and as an orthopedic specialist and sports medicine specialist.
In the course of his research, Dr. Yeo has notably participated in studies of air pollution on diabetic wounds, radiography work, and safe zones for medial open-wedge supramalleolar osteotomy of the ankle. He is a member of the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Orthopedic Association, the Korean Foot and Ankle Society, the Korean Society of Sports Medicine, the Korean Fracture Society, and the Korean Society for Diabetic Foot. In his spare time, he enjoys the sports of kendo, climbing, and golf.
