Looking ahead, Dr. Chung intends to expand upon his research in the field.

Working with the Onnuri Eye Clinic, Dr. Chung has excelled in his field for many years. Prior to his current position, he served as a professor with Cheon-Buk National University Hospital. In addition to opening the Onnuri Eye Bank Establishment as the only eye bank for South Korea's local clinics, he helped to develop and activate the Jeon-Ju World Inline Marathon Games. These are some of Dr. Chung's proudest achievements to date.
Dr. Chung holds a PhD, and has contributed numerous pieces to medical literature. He is a patent holder in South Korea for the intellectual properties Super Save LASIK, SMILE, ICL, Aqua ICL, and Vision Correction. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology as an international member. Before his current position, Dr. Chung served his requisite military service for South Korea as a public health practitioner, and later received a Presidential Citation Award.
Alongside other scholars, his work has been featured in the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, assisting with articles on topics including "small-incision lenticule extraction in a patient with congenital nystagmus" and "Chung's swing technique: a new technique for small-incision lenticule extraction." These research proceedings have made progress in the treatment of myopia and mixed astigmatism, and Dr. Chung's research has informed the further application of laser eye surgery. Looking ahead, Dr. Chung intends to expand upon his research in the field. In his free time, he enjoys inline skating and skiing.
