A native of Portersville, Dr. Tomo was inspired to pursue a career in pharmacy through her faith and her volunteer work with World Vision Inc. and Campus Crusade for Christ International, now CRU. Her career began at Ohio Northern University, where she earned her PharmD in 2003.
Following her graduation, she became a resident at the Inova Health System and entered pharmaceutical practice in 2004. She remained with Inova until 2016, when she decided to move back to Pennsylvania to be near her family. Dr. Tomo has been getting settled in the state, spending time reconnecting with friends and family, and is currently open for new opportunities.
Dr. Tomo has worked at a level one trauma center in Virginia, where she was responsible for three separate facilities, each with its own specialization. The first facility focused on women and children, while the second facility focused in general medicine, and the third, which recently celebrated 30 years in providing excellent care for patients, focused in cardiovascular medicine.
As an esteemed pharmacist, Dr. Tomo is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She attributes her success to her hard work and persistence. Her achievements have been acknowledged several times by Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Tomo has been named an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achiever, as well as a recipient of the Marquis Humanitarian Award. She also has been named to Elite Women Worldwide.
In her spare time, Dr. Tomo enjoys hobbies such as cross-stitching, reading, and watching sports. She intends to continue to work hard and make a difference in the lives of her patients and peers.
