It's a place to share ideas and see how we can better meet the needs of individuals and groups who use composting equipment on a daily basis.
ST. LOUIS, MO, January 09, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Solus Group, a leading online provider of warehouse equipment and battery handling solutions, has joined the US Composting Council (USCC). Solus will staff a booth at the organization's annual conference, Compost 2018, exhibiting how Bin Tippers make composting safer and easier.
The USCC consists of people, organizations, and businesses that play a role in the compost industry. Soil scientists, government agencies, entrepreneurs, equipment manufacturers, and even individuals who want to promote and expand composting are members.
"Joining a group like this makes a lot of sense for us," said Jennifer Taylor, Marketing Manager at Solus Group. "It's a place to share ideas and see how we can better meet the needs of individuals and groups who use composting equipment on a daily basis."
The USCC was established in 1990 and is the sole national organization that works to develop, expand, and promote the compost industry. It occupies a unique niche as a pro-business, pro-environment group.
"This organization uses education to get the public onboard with composting and to help composters create a better end product," Taylor said. "Instead of encouraging an everyone-for-themselves mentality, the USCC helps establish best practices and standards to ensure that ideas with merit get shared throughout the whole composting community."
The USCC will present Compost 2018 from January 22 through January 25, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees can choose from sessions catering to community composters, collection programs, facility operators, and compost sales. A variety of workshops and "Sustainability in Action" tours are also offered.
Vendors, including Solus Group, will set up booths with new equipment and products that improve the composting process in a variety of ways. The vendor networking sessions give attendees a chance to browse and learn about new advancements in composting equipment in one convenient location.
Scott Jenkins, the general manager of the Atlanta Falcons' new stadium, is the keynote speaker. Jenkins is a proponent and pioneer of the green-building movement in the sports industry. Closing keynote speakers include Liza Milagro of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Laura Seydel of the Captain Planet Foundation.
