Mr. Carbine formed his firm just over 20 years ago in 1996. He formerly served as the head of the litigation department at Weinberg & Green, LLC, for 10 years. He also spent 15 previous years as partner of the firm and another seven years as an associate. He has maintained an AV-Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell since 1988, and was named among Outstanding Young Men in America by U.S. Jaycees in the late 1970s. He also received several awards from his alma mater, Michigan State University.

Earning an undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in 1967, and JD at the University of Maryland in 1972, Mr. Carbine was then admitted to practice by the Maryland Bar Association, followed by the District of Maryland of the U.S. District Court and the Fourth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. He has since been published many times, authoring and co-authoring many articles in professional, peer-reviewed journals, such as 'Proposed Model Rules Governing the Admissibility of Computer Generated Evidence' in the "Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal" and 'How to Use Litigation Support During Discovery' in the "Corporate Litigator II" through the American Bar Association (ABA). He also co-authored the book "An American Family, 1575-1945" with his wife Marianne Lemly.

Alongside his work in the field, Mr. Carbine has spent time locally by serving on the board of directors for the Greater Homewood Community Corporation in Baltimore, MD, and the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, as trustee of the Roland Park Foundation, and as a counselor for the New England Historic Geologic Society.

A longstanding member of the ABA, Mr. Carbine spent time on the computer litigation committee, the corporate council committee, and as co-chair of the trial practice committee. He has also been a longtime member of the Maryland Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the New England Historical Genealogical Society.

Mr. Carbine served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He has been married to his wife since 1972, and has one son and one grandchild.
