An expert in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Park has served with the Asan Medical Center University of Ulsan College of Medicine Research Institute for Biomacromolecules as an investigator since 2015, and as an associate professor of ophthalmology for the Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery Service at the Department of Ophthalmology at Ganneng Asan Hospital in 2015. Additionally, he has been the chief director of the Miso Eye Clinic since 2016, having been the director of the Nunemiso Eye Center from 2015 to 2016.
Dr. Park began his career at the Kyung Hee University School of Medicine, obtaining an MD in 2005 before serving in an internship in medicine from 2005 to 2006. He went on to complete a residency in ophthalmology at the Hanyang University Medical Center from 2006 to 2010, returning to Kyung Hee University to earn an MS in 2010. He then held a clinical fellowship with the Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery Service of the Asan Medical Center University Ulsan College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology from 2013 to 2015, completing a PhD in 2015. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Asian Pacific Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Academy of Ophthalmology, the Korean Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Korean Society of External Eye Disease, the Korean Society of Contact Lenses, and the Korean Society of Dry Eyes.

His most recent publications include "Comparison of immediate small-incision lenticule extraction after suction loss with uneventful small-incision lenticule extraction," published in the Journal of Cataract Refractive Surgery, "Nerve Growth Factor Attenuates Apoptosis and Inflammation in the Diabetic Cornea," published in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science, and "The Antioxidant N-Acetylcysteine Inhibits Inflammatory and Apoptotic Processes in Human Conjunctival Epithelial Cells in a High-Glucose Environment," published in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. In recognition of his professional excellence, he earned a Presidential Citation from the Governor of Gyeonggi in 2013.
