David Reznik Celebrates More Than 30 Years of Practiced Industry Experience

Dr. Reznik is currently working on expanding access to dental care for low-resourced people throughout Georgia

ATLANTA, GA, March 14, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Reznik has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than 30 years of professional excellence in dentistry, Dr. Reznik is currently the director of the Oral Health Center of Grady's Infectious Disease Program, a program he founded 27 years ago, and serves as chief of the dental medicine service for the Grady Health System. Dr. Reznik is the president and founder of the HIV Dental Alliance (HIVdent.org), a nonprofit organization of concerned healthcare providers committed to assuring access to high quality oral health care services for people living with HIV. He was named a 2016 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar Fellow, in part on the merit of his help in setting up oral health programs throughout the country for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.

Dr. Reznik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University, and earned a DDS from Emory University's School of Dentistry in 1984. He initially worked as a private practice dentist, but quickly entered both higher learning and the Grady Health System to address the lack of dental access for people living with HIV disease. Dental care is particularly important for people living with HIV. Dr. Reznik was recognized by Grady as chief of dental medicine in 2000, and in 2011 he was named adjunct clinical professor with his alma mater in the department of infectious diseases. Additionally, he has been presented with a 2014 Health Care Hero Award by Atlanta Business Chronicle, and was named a 2015 Distinguished Dentist by Expert Network. Among his many awards, Dr. Reznik was particularly honored by HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau at a Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program with a 2008 HRSA Associate Administrator's Award from Dr. Deborah Parham Hopson, who praised him for "his years of passion, dedication commitment and national leadership on HIV oral health care and for serving as a champion for national health care provider education."

Dr. Reznik is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the International Association of Dental Research, the American Association of Dental Research, Emory's Urban Health Initiative and the National Dental Association. In 2017, he was elected to serve as a board member for the Organization of Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) in Dentistry. He has written a profusion of articles for dental journals, and contributes to numerous publications and committees in his field. Dr. Reznik was a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS during the second Bush administration. He is currently working with the RWJF Clinical Scholars Fellows in Georgia to expand access to dental care in both urban and rural settings. He is a consultant to HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau.
