Backed by 25 years of practiced experience in his field, Dr. Kwon serves as a professor at Pukyong National University, where he started in 2002. Earlier in his career, he lent his academic expertise to Kyungpook National University and Andong Science College. Over the years, he has also worked for the Korea Strategic Trade Institute, the Korea Meteorological Administration, the National Research Foundation of Korea, the Small and Medium Business Administration, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
An expert in his field, Dr. Kwon holds two Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Université de Limoges and Kyungpook National University. His professional affiliations include The Korean Sensors Society, the Korea Physical Society, the Korean Institute of Signal Processing and Systems, and the Polymer Society of Korea. A contributor of numerous articles to professional journals, he has been recognized many times for his professional accomplishments. In 2016, he won The Sir Isaac Newton Legacy of Honour Award, The Order of International Fellowship, an Outstanding Engineering Achievement, the IBC Lifetime Achievement Award and the International Distinction of Cultural Merit through the International Biographical Centre.
