NEW YORK, NY, March 29, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Health Council recently welcomed Rebecca Ramadhar, BSN, ACLS, BLS to its Board of Nurses for her outstanding efforts and contributions to the nursing field. As a registered nurse at the Memorial Regional Hospital in Florida, Mrs. Ramadhar provides high-quality care to her patients. Since entering the nursing field five years ago, she has expanded and evolved her knowledge in the intermediate care unit, critical care, and telemetry.

Drawing inspiration from her mother, Mrs. Ramadhar decided to pursue a career in the nursing field after frequently witnessing her mother's hospitalizations. Once she saw the excellent care her mother received from nurses, she decided to ultimately become a nurse herself. She enrolled at Nova Southeastern University and pursued a bachelor's degree in nursing while working at Memorial Regional Hospital as a registered nurse in 2013. She simultaneously earned the education she needed to succeed while putting her newfound skills to the test at the hospital. She graduated from the institution in 2017 and has since continued to provide optimal care for myriad patients.

At Memorial Regional Hospital, Mrs. Ramadhar administers care to critical care patients while performing telemetry and acting as a charge nurse when necessary. Often described as a role model by her fellow nurses, she is known for resource information and enjoys educating patients and their families based on their diagnosis. Mrs. Ramadhar truly enjoys seeing her patients' health improve each day. She is certified in adult critical care nursing, advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support. Her passionate efforts to help her patients earned her the Patient First Award in 2014.

To ensure that she continues to excel in her career, Mrs. Ramadhar is a member of the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Her nurturing demeanor pours into her personal life as she ensures to raise awareness and funds for several organizations by participating in organized walks such as the Tour De Broward Run/Walk, the Diabetes Walk and the Chron's Disease Walk. She contributes funds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

While she credits her successful career to her preceptors, her managers at Memorial Regional Hospital and her unit at the hospital who continuously lend her tremendous support, Mrs. Ramadhar is most proud of her marriage and her two daughters. She plans to maintain a fruitful career by pursuing a master's degree in nursing in the future and becoming an educator.
