In her present position, she has consulted, testified, and investigated on more than 20 major legal cases. Previously, Ms. Sparks has worked as an in-charge auditor for the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector, as a legal assistant for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and as a legal intern for Oklahoma Senate Majority Leader Darryl F. Roberts.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Sparks pursued an education at Oklahoma City University, earning a Bachelor of Science in pre-law, cum laude, in 1994. She followed this accomplishment with a certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 1999. She went on to become a Certified Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator in 2003, a Certified Fraud Specialist in 2010, and as a Certified Legal Assistant. Ms. Sparks was previously licensed as an Oklahoma Real Estate Sales Associate for 11 years.
In addition to her primary trade, Ms. Sparks remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She has maintained involvement with the Greater Oklahoma City Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners as vice president, on their board of directors in 2002, and president from 2004 to 2009. She further served the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners on their National Awards Committee from 2008 to 2009. In 2014, Ms. Sparks was an invited speaker for the FBA Certified Public Accountant Conference, sponsored by the Department of Justice.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Sparks has accrued several accolades and honors throughout her impressive career. She was honored as Woman of the Year by the Journal Record in 1999, and her work with Oklahoma Expert Witness was accredited by the Better Business Bureau in 2009. She was recognized by Worldwide Branding as a VIP of the Year in 2007, an Industry Expert from 2011 to 2012, a Top Female Executive from 2013 to 2014, among Elite Women Worldwide in 2015, and as Professional of the Year in 2014 and 2016.
