A dedicated health care professional and Professor Emerita of New York University College of Nursing, Dr. Hoskins worked tirelessly in her field for over six decades. She is also the principal author of a four-part video series called "Journey to Recovery: For Women with Breast Cancer and Their Partners," which was released in 2002. Furthermore, she has contributed numerous articles to professional journals throughout her tenure.

Locally involved as a former case manager for the American Red Cross Family Emergency Relief Services for 9/11, Dr. Hoskins is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and longstanding member of the American Nurses Association, the Fulbright Association and Sigma Theta Tau.

She also received a Fulbright Senior Specialist Award in 2003. In 2017, Dr. Hoskins was recognized for donating funds to support the Rory Meyers College of Nursing at NYU to support nursing research, education and practice and to assist in providing financial assistance for students, recruiting distinguished faculty and developing innovative solutions to emerging needs in health care.
