Dr. Lee has served as a senior fellow of the Korea Research Institute of Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) since 1997.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Lee has served as a senior fellow of the Korea Research Institute of Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) since 1997. In addition, he has held several other roles with the organization, including as director general of the Center for Global Cooperation since 2014 and the Global HR Forum and Korea Economic Daily since 2010.
Dr. Lee began his career as a student at Dankook University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in business in 1985 and a Master of Arts in accounting in 1989. He then traveled to the United States to study at Texas A&M University, completing a Master of Business Administration in 1991. He concluded his studies with the University of Oklahoma, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in economics in 1996.
A respected voice in the industry, Dr. Lee has been affiliate with numerous organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He is the former president of the Grand National Party of Jeong Eup City, for which he also served as vice president, and on the Disabled Person Committee and Central Education Committee. A senior fellow of the Management Development Institute, he has also served as an administrator with the Korea Educational Development Institute. He has written more than 30 articles to professional journals, authored several books, and presented at conferences and symposia both domestically and internationally. In addition, Dr. Lee has served as a lecturer with Chung-Ang University, Dankook University, Soongsil University and Incheon National University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has been recognized for his contributions. KRIVET has named him an Excellent Researcher and gave him a Fellow Award, and he received two Excellent Member Awards from the Korea Education Development Institute. He was the recipient of the Prime Minister Award for Education, the Minister of Education Award in Education, and the 14th Korean Youth Grand Award from the Ministry of Education, the Korea Congress and the Korea Youth Newspaper. Married with two children, Dr. Lee enjoys mountain climbing.
