In this position, he draws upon more than 50 years of experience as a marketing and management consultant for clients in the New Orleans, LA, area. A respected voice in his fields of study, Dr. Barach is a recognized co-author of "Leadership and the Job of the Executive," published in 1996. He is also credited as the author of "Individual, Business and Society." Since the inception of his career, Dr. Barach has contributed numerous articles to professional journals regarding the fields of marketing and management.

Prior to pursuing a career in education, Dr. Barach received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1956. While working as a technical writer with the Honeywell Corporation, he developed an interest in advertising. Dr. Barach briefly served as an account executive and copywriter with Renner, Inc., and as a technical writer with the Teleregister Corporation from 1958 to 1959. He subsequently attended the Harvard Business School, where he completed an MBA in 1961, and Doctor of Business Administration in 1967. Since then, Dr. Barach has completed postgraduate coursework as part of an individual studies program at Harvard University.

Early in his career, Dr. Barach served as a research assistant with the Harvard Business School in 1961. He joined the faculty as an assistant professor of the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 1965. Since then, he has risen through the ranks as an associate professor of management and professor of management. Dr. Barach has been recognized as a professor emeritus with Tulane University since 2004.

In recognition of his contributions to the field of education, Dr. Barach was awarded the Wissner Award by Tulane University and Detur Prize by Harvard University. In addition, he was previously selected as a recipient of the Extraordinary Service Award by the Metropolitan Crime Commission in New Orleans. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Barach has been featured in a wide range of honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World.

Outside of his career as an educator, Dr. Barach has acted in dozens of well-known productions, including "Dracula," "Inherit the Wind," and "Look Homeward, Angel." He also contributed to the writing and performance of a number of "gridiron" shows of the Press Club of New Orleans, produced for local and national television programs. In an effort to remain alert of recent developments in the performing arts, Dr. Barach maintains involvement with the Krewe d'Etat, NOYC, Beta Gamma Sigma, and SAG-AFTRA.
